1917 Walking Liberty Half dollars are an interesting year. The mint played around with the mint mark location, resulting in mint marks on the obverse or the reverse for San Fransisco and Denver. Philadelphia had no mint mark.
Adolph Weinman designed Walker half dollars.
Each Walking Liberty Half dollar contains 0.3575 oz silver
Mintage
Philadelphia: 12,292,000
Denver Obverse: 765,000
Denver Reverse: 1,940,000
San Francisco Obverse: 952,000
San Francisco Reverse: 5,550,000
No wear. Full mint luster. Minimal wear. Some mint luster remains. Minor wear. Some mint luster may remain. Still great design devices. The high end of a mid-grade coin. Spent several months in circulation. Mid grade coin. Nice example. May have some detracting features. Significant wear, but all devices are recognizable. Not a bad coin at all. We like to say these coins served their country well! hehe This coin has been around the block a time or two! Imagine the stories it could tell. Barely recognizable.
