1878 7TF VAM-83 B-1 Reverse, R-4 Rarity Factor, certified NGC-MS-64 with light cinnamon toning around the periphery devices. VAM-83 exhibits the B-1d reverse (slightly overpolished middle of eagle's left wing and long nock center arrow shaft) coupled with the II/I-11 obverse which is rampant with errors including doubling of the L1, L2, L5, L6 and the R1 through R4 stars and LIBERTY and all letters in E PLURIBUS UNUM and the 187 in the date. The first 8 is set low. The nostril is weak from die overpolishing and there is a distinctive die polishing spike inside the upper ear. To the say the least, this VAM is quite interesting. |

VAM-84A exhibits a washed out L in LIBERTY, a missing lower nostril, clashed obverse ‘n’ and reverse ‘E’ and ‘M’ with the attendant obverse die crack from the rim below the R2 star through the R3 star to the R4 star making it an ultra late die state example of this Elite Clashed Die. |

No wear. Full mint luster. Minimal wear. Some mint luster remains. Minor wear. Some mint luster may remain. Still great design devices. The high end of a mid-grade coin. Spent several months in circulation. Mid grade coin. Nice example. May have some detracting features. Significant wear, but all devices are recognizable. Not a bad coin at all. We like to say these coins served their country well! hehe This coin has been around the block a time or two! Imagine the stories it could tell. Barely recognizable.
