Indians are a truly loved collection. Only a handful of coins are more than modestly priced, allowing most collecters to assemble a collection. Only the 1877, 1908-S, and 1909-S are generally out of reach of young collectors. I find that his is usually the 5th or 6th series collectors work on.
These were designed by James Longacre. His daughter, Sara, was the name of the model.
Mintage 28,000,000
composition 88% copper 12% nickel
No wear. Full mint luster. Minimal wear. Some mint luster remains. Minor wear. Some mint luster may remain. Still great design devices. The high end of a mid-grade coin. Spent several months in circulation. Mid grade coin. Nice example. May have some detracting features. Significant wear, but all devices are recognizable. Not a bad coin at all. We like to say these coins served their country well! hehe This coin has been around the block a time or two! Imagine the stories it could tell. Barely recognizable.
